Overseas employment is a highly regulated industry in the Philippines. Only entities and individuals duly licensed and authorized by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) are allowed to recruit and deploy workers for overseas sites.
Designed to enhance protection of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW's), strict laws and rules are put in place. The POEA acts as the super body that administers and regulates the entire recruitment and deployment process.
Prior to any recruitment activity, foreign employers and their agents have to undergo an accreditation process with the POEA, with the participation of the Philippine Labor Attache in the country of assignment. In this regard, the following documents are required:
The above documents must be verified by the Philippine Labor Attache in the host country. Thereafter, the verified original documents shall be sent to us in Manila via courier for the accreditation process with the POEA.
Recruitment and deployment can legally take place only after compliance of the entire accreditation process. For subsequent manpower requirements however, emailed manpower demands shall suffice, where POLO verification will no longer be required.
